Telemus is proud to support The Social Justice Challenge, a recent effort designed to make the world a better place. The online donation drive is raising funds for a number of local organizations that work hard every day to create a more equitable society.

“I would encourage other companies to get onboard and do what they can to fight for social justice,” said Telemus Chief Operating Officer Matt Ran in this report on Fox 2 News.

Many of us have been at a loss when it comes to how we can help spur social justice in our community. We hope that this money will support the important work being done by organizations on the front lines, leading to real social justice reform in the coming months, years, and decades.

To donate, anyone can visit The Social Justice Challenge website. Visitors click on a grid of squares and make a donation that they can designate for the charity of their choice. Telemus matched the first $5,000 in donations dollar for dollar. In all, we helped to raise $12,000 for the Detroit Justice Center, Black Lives Matter – Detroit, The Bail Project, SAY Detroit, Empowerment Plan, Humble Design and Neighborhood Defender Service – Detroit.

We'd like to send out a big THANK YOU to the Social Justice Project for providing the platform for the event, and an even bigger THANK YOU to everyone that donated to the campaign. We deeply appreciate your support.

The effort was started by three longtime friends, Steven Silverman, Josh Sklar and Matthew Greenberg. They created the online donation platform and Telemus was among the first to offer a matching challenge. To date, the effort has raised more than $27,000.
