Our financial advisory team recently participated in a Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan (JASM) event with Detroit Premier Academy. We engaged with students in grades 7 through 12 in a budgeting simulation. This hands-on experience allowed students to manage a month’s worth of adult finances, teaching them how to save, budget, and make informed financial decisions.
Six dedicated Telemus volunteers, each representing a different area within the financial sector—including advisory, insurance, and investment—participated in the event. Their involvement imparted valuable financial knowledge to the students and fostered a sense of community and mentorship.
Engaging with the students and guiding them through financial simulations was a fulfilling experience for our team.
