Telemus Launches New Virtual Family CFO

    | April 16, 2020

Telemus is excited to announce the launch of an innovative new family financial administration and management collaboration service, Virtual Family CFO.

As you might guess from the name, Virtual Family CFO offers a coordinated, strategic approach to a wide array of accounting, administrative and information-management services for family members, external advisors and staff members, with the ability to allocate different roles and responsibilities. Virtual Family CFO sets up and maintains your digital family office platform using military-grade cybersecurity software to ensure that our clients’ financial information is secure.

“As financial life managers, our clients have increasingly asked us for help with accounting and management services, budgeting and cash flow analysis, administrative services and reporting on outside investments,” said Telemus Chairman and CEO Gary Ran. “What’s exciting about launching this is the interest we’re seeing not only from our clients but from other professionals, like attorneys and CPAs, who recognize the uniqueness of our offering.”

Renee Wolgin, a Michigan State graduate with nearly 20 years of public accounting experience, is overseeing the new Family Office division as Director. She started with Telemus in January and is profiled elsewhere in this newsletter. The new service uses technology to meet the needs of families and individuals with complex finances and investments.

“No two high net worth families are the same, and there is not one formula as to how to best service their needs,” Wolgin says. “As director of the Telemus Family Office division I will oversee all aspects of a family’s financial picture tailored to the client’s specific wants and needs. These activities range from bill paying and account reconciliation to providing various financial reports, tracking of private and public investments, risk management, helping to meet philanthropic goals and most importantly, coordination with outside service professionals to ensure that financial decisions fall in line with the best interests of all aspects of the client’s financial infrastructure.”
